PT 2 yr old boy--WWYD?

We bought a potty for DS (who will 2 next month) a few months ago and he has sat on it off and on but just in the past few days and actually been 'going' in it. He seems interested in using it, but I know 2 is really young for a boy to PT. DH thinks we should hit it hard and try to get him trained. I'm not so sure, but would like to take advantage of his interest right now. I just don't want to put a lot of work into it if he isn't ready. And he is good at telling us after he has gone but I'm not sure he knows how to tell when he needs to go.
