Diaper rash

DD had quite a few, six or so, runny stools since yesterday evening. No fever, still playing. Could it be a stomach virus or maybe it was something she ate?

She has a really bad diaper rash. It's very red and there are bumps. She screams when I wipe her. I rinse the wipes with warm water first and slather on maximum strength Desitin. What can I do to help her heal and not be in so much pain when I wipe?

My poor baby. She just turned two and has never had a rash this bad.
