LOOK! I made this!
I just have to brag! I haven't sewn in about 20 years (since 8th grade Home Ec--good golly, it's been that long?).
Anyway, I had ordered a blanket from a recent co-op and wasn't very satisfied with the product so with the help of some wonderful women at the quilting store, I re-made this blanket. I added batting and the red fabric to the back, as well as the binding effect on the edges. The embroidery was already there from the initial product I ordered. I initally bought the blanket for a shower gift but am now giving this to my baby niece, Lauren, for Christmas. Thankfully, the monomgram still works :)
Anyway, the most frustrating part was the mitred corners. I don't know if they are textbook, but I hobbled something together and I am so so so pround :) DH is so proud too!

That's really pretty, Juliet. I would have no idea how to mitre a corner! Impressive. So maybe if you chuck grad school you have some options? ;) (Totally joking--do not chuck grad school!)
