Birthday ideas and cake patterns

I had a fabulous time planning my daughters 4th birthday - a Magical Unicorn Castle theme (!!!!). I have always enjoyed making whimsical cakes, and planning out the parties (I'm a first grade teacher before staying home). Now a couple of friends have asked for my guidance in planning a home birthday and baking a cake for them.

Right now I am working on what I will do for my son's 2nd birthday. We would like to do an airplane theme.
