I think that if your DD is interested in crayons then you should let her play with them. I think that all Crayola products are non-toxic so they should be OK if she puts them in her mouth. Make sure you get WASHABLE crayons. I didn't the first time and learned from my mistake.
I like the large triangular shaped crayons for that age because they don't roll off the table all the time like the round ones do.

I agree....if they are showing interest, then by all means, stick a crayon in their chubby little hands!

My DD put crayons in her mouth all the time when she was 1. I tried to minimize it and did the whole "only for the paper" routine...but I am sure that some of it was eaten. I didn't worry too much. That's what kids do IMO :)Quote:
