BJCM attachments & adapters -- backward compatibility

I'm buying a four year old BJCM off of a friend. I will need a parent console and a belly bar or snack tray (probably the latter). I have a 6 year old snack tray from a City Micro and I'm wondering if that will fit, as well as the newer consoles -- on an older stroller. I will also need a new car seat adapter.

Does anyone know if I can use the newer attachments on the older strollers? Amazon seems to list everything by year, but they get a lot of things wrong.
