If you have remodeled your kitchen what did you get rid of and what did you add?
Put a big cabinet above fridge and have them pull it out so it looks built in ... lots of appliance storage Attachment 4854Attachment 4855
I’d also take this time to purge things you don’t use or see if can pare back. You have a toaster, a toaster oven and a microwave but don’t have much counter space. I’d consider a micro hood so microwave is off the counter. My MIL has a convection microhood and it doubles as 2nd oven for her. I have double oven range and I use the small top oven all the time, way more than the bigger oven, I got rid of the toaster oven and don’t miss it. I have this in electric, i plan to replace with gas version now I have a gas line but it’s still working well so I’ll wait to replace it

I’ve got an instant pot now so thinking of donating rice cooker and maybe even the crockpot. Or I may move them to garage cabinet and if I don’t use it in next year, then I’ll donate it.
I cook a lot from scratch and found I could pare down a lot of kitchen items.

If this was your forever house I'd suggest moving that second window up a bit and wrapping the cabinetry and counter tops under it to give you extra storage and counter top space, and doing a little counterheight bar on the wall where the microwave is. But, since you want to sell, keep it simple! An inexpensive narrow counterheight table (where the cart is now) against that wall with two stools that fit under it would give you a nice spot to do a little staging.
I'd go with white shaker cabinets and use paint to add a little bit of color. That'll make the room feel brighter.
Is the side of the oven open to the kitchen? It doesn't look like there's any countertop on one side. Is there any room for a little extra storage spot there and counter?
What is the flooring like in the rest of the house? With that size kitchen I'd use the same flooring to make it flow better.
One tip- I looked at AirBnB listings for my neighborhood as they usually show pictures of kitchens, too.
Yes I believe we should have room where the current laundry room storage cabinet/spice area (left of the door) for a tall pantry if we decide to do the combo/wall oven unit in the kitchen.
Our dining area is just the other side of the wall from the microwave cart so we don’t need to add another table to the kitchen.
Yes we are going to white shaker style cabinets.
Yes the kitchen opens to the left of kitchen and goes into the dining room. There is currently about 6” of non usable space on the left and maybe 2-3” on the right of the range. That area might be good for a pullout baking supply rack. We store a step ladder and large wood cutting board on the right side of the oven.
Flooring in the bathroom is dark brown wood like tile and we requested to use it again the kitchen and laundry room. The rest of the flooring in the house is the original medium oak hardwood floors; we are not replacing those.

I would also add a tiny cabinet to the left of the range (assuming that is where the cook top will go?). We remodeled a small galley kitchen, smaller than yours! And we added a tiny cabinet and counter on the side of an exposed range, and it was so much nicer. It was the perfect size cabinet to hold cookie sheets and cutting board, vertically.
I can totally see why you want to remodel... Fresh floors and white cabinets will really brighten and open up the space. Since you have two windows plus the window in the door of the laundry room, I would consider a cabinet over the widow over the sink, to help maximize storage. I like leaving the far wall open. What paint color are you considering?
What is to the left of your washer? Could you maximize storage there with build in shelves?
I would also take out the valance and use a white blind on the far wall. I can't wait to see what you all do!
Yes that is exactly the plan!
The designer said that some people do put storage above the window, but she didn’t think it would look right.
In the cabinet above the washer we store detergents, rug and upholstery cleaners, batteries, and TP, paper towels, some vases.
In the cabinet to the left we store the cleaning supplies, paper plates, cloth napkins, cloth towels, mop, dust pan, dust mops, and the ironing board. I would like to keep that area the same.
Yes we are getting rid of the valance! I can’t believe I kept it this long[emoji16].

Can your washing machine and dryer be stacked? If yes, a pantry cabinet could be in laundry space for appliances like the instant pot and kitchen aid to give you more counter space. I have mine on shelves in pantry and carry them out as needed. Are you going to include laundry room cabinets? New ones will give you more storage space. For hanging clothes to dry we have we have a multi towel rack from ikea that folds against wall
Attachment 4856 and a pull out rack that folds flat against the wall - it’ll give you back a cabinet you’re currently using to hang clothes

I agree with idea to raise window, that would be more more money to replace window, repair outside wall, but a smaller window there would let you have cabinets under it. I’d at least get a quote as it may not be as costly as you’d think, and maybe can recoup cost by going with cheaper appliances or saving somewhere else. You need more counter space.
We dry the bulk of the clothes on the clothesline when the weather is nice or on a drying rack in my room and also use coat hangers and hang stuff on the closet doors. It isn’t the best system but it works.
We currently have a cabinet above the fridge as I don’t use it much, but if we have better pantry storage then maybe we won’t have to store on top of the fridge and I will store up there like large appliances.

When we met with the designer yesterday she didn’t rule out putting in the wall oven where the microwave cart is now. I was kind of expecting her to say we didn’t have enough space.
I don’t want to move the window, it is one of two and it provides nice light.
If we don’t do the microwave/oven wall combo then she said yes a small pantry of some sort could go in that space.
Yes most definitely we will declutter the kitchen....I just did vitamins and food recently.....I couldn’t believe how many expired vitamins I had! [emoji848] There definitely now duplicates we can get rid of like the crock pot and rice cooker since I have an instant pot. We also haven’t used either of if popcorn makers (Whirly Pop, and air popper) in years. We have a few Caphalon pots that were wedding gifts that we have to get rid of because the non stick coating is coming off. I like non stick for cooking rice, but I could try the instant pot again, but the last time I did it made way too much rice. Otherwise I have only bought one set of Tramontina nonstick pans from Costco about 5 years ago after I had to get rid of the Caphalon ones that were scratched (dh didn’t use the right tools and scratched a bunch of them) we have two waffle irons (a regular and a Belgian), but I think I would get rid of the Belgian. We use the toaster oven (pizzas, small batches of cookies/brownies, reheating sandwiches, etc.) and the toaster for different things (toaster for single pieces of bread.....usually 3-4, 2-3 bagels at a time) but honestly we have used our large oven less since we got the toaster oven.
I can’t remember who asked, but we cannot stack the WD as we have a Speed Queen top loading washer, and an Electrolux dryer.
Also we are hoping to use the same contractor we used for our bathroom as we were very happy with him.
We will meet with the designer in about a month to view the final designs.
