I purchased an infant Chicco car seat from a friend thinking I could use it with my older Graco stroller that's 5 years old. I thought maybe I would just have to buy an adapter. I contacted Chicco and they said their carseats are ONLY meant for Chicco strollers. Is this true?
I know you can get adapters for some of the higher end strollers, but not for other brands of regular travel systems like Graco. I think the same would be true for most brands?

A lot of the carseat/stroller companies are making it a lot more difficult to mix and match the carseats and strollers between brands. Also, Graco has redone everything in the last couple years. Even the current Graco carseats won't fit in the old Graco strollers.
