Any ideas for ventriloquist puppet?

My daughter wants a ventriloquist type puppet for Christmas. It's her "want" gift so I'm hoping to find something nice. She has a nice animal puppets (folkimals) she has loved playing with and I think the girl in AGT has spurred her on to want to try a "real" one. She wants an animated animal type one (not person one) but all I can really find are a monster ones on amazon or character. I know MandD has some puppets with a wooden arm but I'm looking for more real ventriloquist type puppets I think or at least animal theme (but full body) I'm not really sure- any help???

I've seen/handled them at the holiday markets in NYC and they are very nice.

ETA: They're not what I think of when you say "ventriloquist puppet" ... they're closer to Muppets, but I see the person you think inspired your DD uses this type.

Sillypuppets is what I was planning to recommend as well. I am getting my daughter the skeleton puppet.

My DD is positively fascinated by them!

Again, they're really nice quality, so they should hold up to a lot of playing, depending on how old OP's DD is.

Then SillyPuppets is 100% the way to go - she's more than old enough to take better care of it than my 7-year-old would!
