We have installed two Graco Comfortsports and one Graco CarGo (now the Nautilus, same width) across backseat of Dodge Grand Caravan and also in a Honda CRV and Chevy Trailblazer. These all measure 20" width, if that helps. Oh, we have done it all with seatbelts, or the middle with the latch.

Driver: Britax Frontier 85, belted.
Center: backless Graco Turbo Booster
Passenger: high-backed Graco Turbo Booster
Tight fit, but it works best if you install the FR85 first, then buckle the high back TB, then buckle the backless TB last. Must have an adult unbuckle the backless TB, or a child very likely will unbuckle the FR85 by mistake.
I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty, and just wanted to let other know that there is NO way to do 3 across and include an infant seat, even using Radians. The tiny 47" backseat just doesn't work.
So I bought a 2007 Honda Pilot. We are using Complete Air (RF seatbelt) / Radian XTSL (FF seatbelt) / Graco Snugride (RF latch). We also installed our Maxi Cosi Priori (RF latch) instead of the Snugride and it works well. We aren't currently using the 3rd row, but I also could get any of the seats except the Snugride to install RF using seatbelts in the 3rd row, but access was difficult.
2005 Accord, and 2001 Pathfinder. Successful install with:
Rfing Marathon, outboard passenger
Baby Trend latch-loc infant seat, center
Rfing Roundabout, outboard driver
Rfing Marathon, outboard passenger
Ffing Radian, center
Rfing Roundabout, outboard driver
Soon will have:
Rfing or ffing Radian outboard passenger
Ffing Radian, center
Rfing Marathon, outboard driver
I had a 2008 Gmc Denali Yukon XL. I was able to install 3 forward facing Britax Frontiers in the 2nd Row!!!!!
I now have a 2011 GMC Denali Yukon XL and all 3 still fit in second row!!!!!!!
The 2011 Honda Odyssey has 5 latch positions, 3 across the front with wide mode (so you can actually fit 3 side by side) and 2 in the back. The 2011 Toyota Sienna now only has 3 latch positions.

Two successful configurations so far:
Driver side: Graco Snugride22 RF, seatbelt install
Middle: Britax Marathon (2006 model), FF, seatbelt install
Passenger: Britax Marathon (2008 model), FF, seatbelt install
Driver: Britax Marathon (2006 model), FF, seatbelt install
Middle: Graco Snugride22 RF, seatbelt install
Passenger: Britax Marathon (2008 model), RF, seatbelt install
FYI, all 3 positions have top tether anchors available. Also, in the first configuration, there is just enough space between the Marathons to reach in and buckle/unbuckle the seatbelts when installing/uninstalling.
ETA March 2012
Another successful configuration:
Driver: RF Keyfit, seatbelt install
Middle: FF Classic Marathon, seatbelt install
Passenger: FF Classic Marathon, seatbelt install
