I need strength...
My grandmother passed away about 12 hours ago. She was in the hospital, but we thought she was on the mend and doing pretty well.
I have been fortunate enough that I have never experienced the death of a very close family member until now. I am... in shock. I'm lost. Any words of encouragement or ways to get through this would really help. Thank you so much.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how devastating it feels. The way I have dealt with the loss of my grandparents and my uncle is to try to remember that they are still with me. We keep their memories alive by telling their stories, thinking about them often. Let yourself grieve how you need to - cry when you need to, ask for help when you need to. I still cry often over the loss of my uncle, who died 3 years ago this December. And that's ok with me. Hugs to you.

 I'm so sorry for your loss. I've lost three of my grandparents and the one thing that was best for me was going through photographs and remembering them and some fantastic memories and letting myself grieve and cry. So sad for you, sending many hugs and lots of positive thoughts.

I am so so sorry. I struggled when my dad's dad died. He was the first person family person I was very close to who died. It's been 20 years since he passed, but I still miss him. I honor him by working on learning more about his life from my dad, so I can share his stories with my DS. Write down some of your favorite memories with her, so you can pass them along.
Grandparents are treasures, and I'm sure your grandmother loved knowing you.

I am so sorry. I don't have personal experience with this yet, so I don't have advice, but please know that my thoughts are with you. (((Hugs)))

I'm so sorry. My grandmother that was really like a second mom to me died in January and there are still lots of days where I think of her and get sad.

I'm sorry. The next few days will be tough, but will be wonderful too, since everyone will be thinking about her and talking about her.
