Grrr... he's sick
DS is missing soccer practice because he's sick, he's sneezing and stuffed up. DH texts me from work saying he should go as he's missed 2 practices and 2 games and doesn't want DS to get in habit of bailing from practice. I point out that neither of the practice times were due to DS, and the 2 games are because DH wanted to go to events out of town? Things I really didn't want to do because of timing, but DH insisted. So I'm not penalizing DS by making him go to practice instead of resting. I then asked if DS does go to practice, home late, less rest, and is still sick tomorrow, will DH be taking the day off to look after him? Radio silence. Yeah, just as I thought.
DS is staying home and going to bed early.

Smart choice to keep him home. It is so much harder for them to get well when they get overtired and run down.

Excellent way to put it with asking if he'd be the one handling the sick day to follow! Definitely the right approach that I would have never thought of. Even better because the last few were missed because of DH. Gah!

And DS has a fever and is home sick. I'm also not feeling great.

Oy. Rest up and feel better!

Good for you on letting Ds rest! That was some crazy Dh logic. Sheesh. Sorry to hear you're both not feeling well.
