Varicose veins
I have some varicose veins on my left leg, none on my right leg. I have one on the front to the right of my left knee cap, and a couple on the back of the left thigh about mid thigh down to my knee. I do get a bit of aching in this leg, but no pain.
I’ve been exercising, eating better since March and I’ve lost over 20lbs.
Are there any treatment options that are worth looking at?
Thanks

My sister just talked to her Dr. about hers and they recommended compression socks or tights.

Thanks. I’ll check with my dr at my next appointment

I went to a vascular surgeon. They said compression stockings don’t really work but the insurance insisted on trying them first. They didn’t work. I’m having mine removed by him. I just have one long one on one leg. I can check back in after. I schedule it on Monday.

I went to a vascular surgeon too. He recommended wearing the compression tights daily for 3 months and seeing what that does. Next option is surgery. I wore the stockings one day and gave up - I found them so uncomfortable. I have no plans to do the surgery. They're not pretty, but they're not dangerous so I'm planning to just live with them I guess.
