Merck recalling some Hib vaccines

I saw this mentioned on my local news, and here is the info from Merck:

They say that they cannot guarantee the sterility of these batches of vaccines, but that tests conducted on the batches have not found any contamination present. These batches were distributed starting in April 2007.

DD just had a Hib vaccine last week. She did not have any adverse effects, but I guess I will be calling the ped tomorrow to see if her vaccine was from the recalled batches . Great, one more thing for us all to worry about.
