    Default Christmas Tree Safety Question

This year is the first year that DS is getting the idea of Christmas and I'm so excited. I am putting up the tree right now and I'm wondering if anyone knows if those bubbling lights are safe. I have always had them n the tree before but this is the first year that DS will be able to grab things etc. I know he would love them because he loves all lights. What would you do?
    Thanks for the advice.

DS did OK with them last year. We put them up a little higher (we just have 1 short string and then regular lights too). He loved them!

being my usual PITA self again, but one thing to watch is most artificial trees and all light strands have lead, so you might want to discourage a lot of tree touching or try to wash hands if you see DC touching it. Yeah, I know I'm annoying

Just mentioning it since so many people are concerned about lead in toys this season. If you are worried about the toys, take the tree and lights into consideration as well.
