Any one have a vacumm for a child that actually works. I don't want one that just makes noise. If I have to listen to it it would be nice if it actually worked!!

We have the Dirt Devil which is supposed to "work". In reality, it picks up a stray piece of lint here and there.
If I was to buy one I'd look for one that couldn't be left on (a kind of dead-man-switch). DS turns his on and walks away from it... the constant whirring drives me crazy knowing that he's not actually playing with it.

We have the toy Dyson, and our experience has been pretty much the same as the PP - it is very cute, though. Ideally, you could maybe find one that only makes noise when it's being pushed? My son's toy lawnmower (I think it's Fisher Price) works that way and it's SOOOOO much less annoying than the vacuum.
