Default Has anyone tried this ventilated crib bumper pad?

I know there's a big debate about whether bumper pads are safe or if they are a smothering hazard. I had planned to not use one, but just saw these "ventilated" bumper pads online.

Has anyone tried them, or have thoughts on them?
    Thanks!

sounds like a good idea -- I wonder if it would actually stay up that nicely though?

Did you end up with this? I was thinking of making a bumper pad myself that was just fabric with no padding, so it would essentially look/work just like this... thoughts?

Her is my take, sounds like a great idea... But most kids start to become more active around 7-9 months, i.e. rolling and can actually put their little hands and feet into the slats. According to the advertisement ,it should only be used until baby is 9 months. Around 8 months is when I had to get rid of my bumper because DS was putting his hands and feet under the pads ( in a hugging kind of manner).
    I hope this helps you.
