i am really shocked by the customer service response i got today! most toy companies stand behind the safety and durability of their products, so i called in to report that my baby toy melted. i had never even used it, just a first wash. the brusque woman on the phone replied "you're only supposed to surface wash." there is no cleaning info on the tag at all, so I pointed that out, and that it's a baby toy, which will get pretty yukky. she said "it's on the cardboard." that's not a good place for important instructions! she actually said "so, what do you want me to do about it?" then when i said, ok, then i will be sure not to buy anything from your company, she groaned and told me to hang on, then came back and told me the toy was discontinued, so forget it.

buyers beware! as cute as they are, that's the end of carter's/john lennon products for me. they are made by "Prestige". i'm stunned.

any other companies that take a 'at your own risk' attitude toward its customers?
