    Default Maternity Bra ?

Is there an advantage to using a maternity bra versus a regular bra? Does it just give more support or are there other advantages to using one?

    Thanks.

I don't even know what a maternity bra is, honestly, other than a marketing gimmick. I usually buy nursing bras if I have to buy anything new while pg since I'll probably continue to use them as my size goes back down post-baby. Or I'll buy regular bras if that's what fits better.

When I was pregnant with my first, I kept seeing references to maternity bras in my reference books. They sounded great - lots of support, etc. But if I asked for such a thing at a store, they always pointed me to nursing bras. So I stuck with regular bras (just sized differently when necessary) through most of the pregnancy and switched to Bravados at the end.

Thanks for your replies. I just bought some regular bras at Walmart at my current size. Even if my size changes later, I won't feel too badly as the bras were not expensive at all.
