FP Ocean Wonders Aquarium
This is more of a soother than a toy, but DD#1 has had it since birth and I CAN'T take it off of her to give to her little sister! We have succesfully transitioned her to the bed, but she still uses her aquarium every night. She just turned 2 years old. It's easy for a young infant to turn on if they awake at night. We would (and still do) hear it in the middle of the night over the monitor, but I'll take that over a screaming baby any day! It does eat up the batteries, but DD does use it a lot.

RE: 6 Month Little Tikes Discover Sounds Kitchen + playstore
I'll second the kitchen. DD#1 received it for her first bday and until just recently (she just turned 2) she played with it every day. She loved the ice cubes.

FP Learn Through Music
This toy is actually recommended for ages 18 months and up, but DD received it for her first birthday and played with it often. She really didn't understand it until she was a little older, but she enjoyed playing with the screen and buttons early on. She has always had difficulty pushing things with her little finger (she doesn't push hard enough) and the touch screen was easy for her to operate. Now that she's older, she's not as interested unless I buy her a new cartridge for it.

Playhuts
Gwen loves her Playhuts! We have the older version, with three separate "huts" and two tunnels. She plays with the tunnels every day, and the huts several times a week.
We like them because they fold down so easily.

Toddlin' Tunes Puppy
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/cus...A3UN6WX5RRO2AG
DD adored this immediately. It only has 6 notes, so you can't play many tunes, but they're in tune (I saw a similar 8-note thing in Target and tried it, and it was out of tune, which is just ridiculous -- xylophones are so easy to make in tune). She bangs on it and eats the bone, and now that she's 8 months she moves it to watch the tail turn.

Discover Sounds Kitchen (older model)
My son and the 1 year old I babysit really like this toy. They play with it every day. They love to put the shapes in the shape sorter and then press the button to make them fall out. My son also just learned how to put the pot and pan on the stove to hear the cooking sounds. He likes to make the timer go off too. We also have the store but that doesn't get played with much.

Peek-A-Block train
My son loves pushing the train across the room and pressing the button to make it move. He doesn't put the blocks in it like you're supposed to, but has a blast with it anyways.

RE: Discovery Toys stacking cups
My son also loves his stacking cups and his stacking boxes. He'll carry around one of the bigger cups/boxes with a smaller one inside and has fun shaking them around to hear them rattle until the small one falls out.

RE: Leap Frog Table
My son also loved his leap frog table. But once he started walking he lost interest so I just sold it a few days ago :). I would definately recommend it.

Peek-A-Block Incrediblock
My son wasn't crazy about this at first, but now he and the other 1 year old I babysit really enjoy it. Their favorite part is to stack the blocks and then press the red lever to make them all fall out. They also love opening the door and throwing all the blocks out. And just this week my son learned how to plug the block into the top to hear the sounds. I don't really think it is worth $50, but I would definately buy it again on sale.
