ABC Floormat? Any recommendations

We have a screened in porch and I thought one of those foam/rubber interlocking square mats would be nice to put down for the summer for DD to crawl around/play on. That way DH could hose off the mat if it got dirty.

Of course I want the best price AND best quality. Any suggestions of where to purchase? Or which one is the best?

I got mine at Lowes. I am happy with it. I think it is probably average quality/average price.

Target has black colored ones in the exercise section. TRU carries the blues ones from Step 2.

If you're looking for ones with ABCs or numbers on them, I've seen them at Marshalls/TJ Maxx for reasonable prices. However, they have pieces that pop out and could be choking hazards.

I have the ABC mats- they were passed down from my sister so they are 7 years old. I think she got them at One Step Ahead. As old as they are and as much as all the kids have chewed on them, they haven't come apart at all- not the smallest piece. But my DS is always popping the letters out- may be better to have one w/out the letters.

I also was at BJ's yesterday and they had the colored block flooring-I don't think they had the alphabet cut outs- and I'm sure you'll get a good deal there.

I've seen the mats at Sam's Club for a very good price but they were just multicolored, not ABC. I don't have them so cannot comment on quality although they looked good in the package. I think I've seen the ABC ones at One Step Ahead.

Yes, we have the ones from Sam's club. They are multicolored on one side and black on the other. They are nice and thick and fit together well. We are very happy with them!

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I think we might go with the ones from Sams/BJs for the outside and then in the winter perhaps we'll invest in the ABC ones for inside the house.

I just hope it's not too hot to sit outside this summer!!

I bought two huge packs of the ABC blocks at Ross for $15.00 each. They're the same ones as at One Step Ahead but a ton less expensive.
