I've been looking around for a coupon, too! I know we have a code listed in the big coupon thread for free shipping. I also noticed that the books are being sold through hsn.com and, depending on what hsn.com coupons are out there, you might be able to get a better price that way.

I got the Very own name book as a gift from a friend and thought it was so unique (her sister had gotten it at her baby shower). I plan on giving these in the future.

The book was one of the things I gave to my oldest friend when she had her DD. Her whole family loved it.

I buy new babies L.L. Bean personalized tote bags in the large size. I use my LL Bean Visa card so there is no charge for shipping or monogramming. Parents love them! It if it a very close friend or family member, I might fill the bag with some other items, but most often the bag is enough.

For older kids, I have give personalized beach towels, or for my DD's preshool age friends, I have given LL Bean totes, but the little purse sized ones.

Enjoyable children's music (Ralph's World, They Might be Giants...)
LandsEnd towel set (love what we have!)
    Name puzzles
Tried and true toys and gifts in a personalized basket (wicker basket with a chalkboard tied to it with the baby's name if known)- I gave my friend a basket of our favorite items across the board all the way to snap up gowns for a new born)
    PB SOFT blankets
    Robeez
For my sorority sisters I have given them Lion items (our mascot)
    Big Brother/Sister t-shirts (personalizedforbaby)
First year scrapbooks or frame (a place for a picture per month)
Handmade burp clothes (sew on a ribbon and wrap)
Name trains (engine and then a car for each letter of the name...)
Handpainted chair to match their room
Ceramic bank with the name on them
Matching big/little items for siblings (J loves their Old Navy coordinating shirts)

I love personalized things, especially since I will never find anything with Jude's name on it in a store bought item. I secretly would love a stepping stool with names on them.)

    Corie,

I was on vaca when the blanket arrived, so they didn't even tell me that our boss got it until I asked. Then I was only told that yes, he got the blanket. That's it. I didn't hear any review or anything.

You know, some people (probably everyone in my office!!!!) would never appreciate the finer things in life. LOL.
