Default Finally discovered Gertie balls. Where to buy them?

My 3.9-yo's Xmas list: a ball, a trumpet, a smiley face. Oh, he also wants something rainbow colored...

I finally discovered Gertie balls. DUH! I think they have been talked about a lot a while back ago, right? So, now I am intrigued. Where to buy them? TIA!

    Cheers, Lin

We have several Gertie balls. Noah loved them when he was a baby and now the knobby Gertie ball is DD's favorite toy. I will say that Noah and my nephew now have little to no interest in the Gertie. They prefer 'real' balls like red rubber balls (like the kind at school), soccer balls, volleyballs etc. I think the red, rubber bouncy ball is the favorite because it kicks so well. It was a staple for kick ball and dodgeball when I was growing up. Just my .02 so feel free to ignore me ;) .

Anyway, to answer your original question, we always just buy them at local toy stores. If you google it there are a ton of websites that pop up.

Angie, I didn't realize that they are not bouncy. As you can see, I was surfing late late last night. (Or early this morning in fact). That's a good call. Thanks! I will also get him some other ball that's bouncy too.

Thanks! That's a very nice store. Again, something that's been mentioned here many many times and yet I never checked it out until now.

Gertie balls are bouncy....but, they are lighter weight than those red kick balls...so, its like the difference between throwing a wiffle ball and a baseball...the heavier one goes a more satisfying distance. :)

I like the knobby gertie ball and the heat sensitive one that changes color. My boys love to smoosh it on their face and see the crazy distorted faces they create. I bought both at kidsurplus.

I actually love the deflating/inflating feature, because I can pack a couple in my backpack when we go places and have a great instant toy.

I think Jenn's store carries them too, www.expressivetoys.com. Good luck! I love your DS's list! :)

Last Christmas I bought some directly from gertie ball.

As I wanted specific ones and didn't need to buy anything else at the time from kidsurplus or anywhere else, shipping ended up being cheaper buying directly from gertieball.

I am so glad I read this thread. I have been trying to figure out where to get the cool little knobby balls they bring out in DD's Gymboree class and now I realize they are "Gertie" balls. Did not have a clue. She loves to play with them at Gymboree...I definitely will be ordering some for Christmas. Thanks for the tip.
