    Definitely get him a kitchen!!

My son loves the kitchen set just as much as my daughter.
He puts on an oven mitt and he gets busy cooking.

Hopefully, my son will love to cook as much as my husband! :)

Absolutely, they are great for boys. We just recently got our daughter assessed by early intervention, and I showed them my daughter's new kitchen. The developmental therapist told me that they are great for pretend play, and she highly recommends them to families with boys as well since a lot of the boy's toys are not as good in this area. So you can just tell your husband that you are helping your DS development. :)

Why wouldn't it be? My son got one last year for Christmas (at just under 3y/o).

DS has recently got into because he loves to copy his father (DH was doing a lot of the cooking early in this pregnancy!)...we live in a apt and dont have much space so I got the Alex foldable stove top thingee, a pack of pots and pans from IKEA and the basket of playfood from Target and thats just about right for his attention span and my budget!

    That is so adorable! :)

Another DS with a kitchen set here. Mine also loves to play with the pots, pans, cups and plates in the bathtub.

I say Go for it! It is interesting how most of the famous chefs are male and straight, some of them very very straight, yet the stereotypes of boys + cooking toys = future effiminate men are still so prevalent.

We bought one for my son when he was around 18 months. He is now 26 months and still plays with it all the time!! He loves it. We got the Play Wonders kitchen from Target. It is really nice looking, BLUE, and a great price! Can't say enought positive things about it.

And hey, maybe he'll grow up to cook dinner for his wife and kids like my husband!
