What about M/D puzzles? DD is getting several for her upcoming birthday and at Christmas.

I think I wait on the Calico Critters for another year. They are small and the accessories are very teeny. Even if your DD is beyond the putting everything in her mouth stage, she will likely find it difficult to manipulate the figurines and the accessories.

Dress up, doll stroller, doll & doll accessories, play kitchen, play food are all great for her age. I bought my youngest DD a PBK Anywhere Chair for Christmas. Any kind of pretend play is great - ironing board & iron, shopping cart, etc..

DD got a clear backpack with Crayola supplies in it. She loves the backpack. She is also loving her Duplos. I like to buy DD hats. Luckily she usually likes to wear them.
