    Default Baby Monitor for Travel

I am looking for an inexpensive monitor to use when we travel. Both my parents and in-laws have homes that are virtually sound-proof unless you are in the same room as the baby. We have the Fisher Price Private Connection monitor at home, which works OK for us, but I don't want to pack it up to travel. All the monitors I have seen in the $20-25 price range seem to get bad reviews. I don't mind a little static for short-term use, but I want the monitor to pick up my baby's sounds! Any suggestions?

I have an old FP sound and light one that is packed up in the box of donations in my trunk. You are welcome to try it, and if it works, leave it there. It worked for us.

The two receivers are yellowed (don't know why, we don't smoke, maybe cause they are four 1/2 years old, and have been plugged in outside in the sun).

That is so generous of you. Thanks! I'll email you offline.
