Is a puzzle buckle the one where you have to put thread two pieces together before you insert them in the bottom buckle? That's the one the Avatar has. It's impossible to get the pieces to stay perfectly together as you insert them. I'll try loosening the straps like you suggest. Is there a way to replace the buckle? If not, I'm considering just getting new seats, they're THAT much of a pain!

Yeah, the puzzle buckle is the kind you hate. DO try that strap loosening trick, and if you just keep hating it, post a new thread and we'll find you something that works better for you.
