Default Flying soon- which seat is the easiest to travel with- marathon or Graco comfort sport?

We bought the comfort sport for the less used car.It was well rated by BBB as good second seat that is also small and light, making it better for air travel. I have since read about people flying easily with their marathons. Which seat should we travel with? Is it difficult to RF with a marathon in a plane? We're flying on Southwest. What else should we know?

Hi Karen. If you're proficient at installing the ComfortSport, then that would be easier to fly with since it's so much lighter. Believe me, every ounce matters when you're dragging through an airport, lol.

I don't think it would be difficult to rf a Marathon on a Southwest plane if you sat in the bulkhead seats, but I don't know if the arm rests raise in those seats. In the other rows, space is really tight, so it might be a rather upright sit for either seat rf.

The only other thing I can think of for flying is if you install a seat forward-facing is to flip the seat belt latchplate over once. Evidently it is next to impossible to get unbuckled otherwise. Also, recline the airplane seat when installing the car seat, then pop it back up for a quick, tight install (just like vehicle seats that recline).

I always take my Marathon. No problem fitting RF on Southwest.

    Here's a detailed post about it: http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/dcboar...ng_type=search

I sat in the bulkhead seat once and will never do so again, it was nearly impossible for me to install my seat RF in those seats since the armrests are fixed. Other than that I haven't had any problem installing my MA although we only took it once, we got a Touriva for travel since it's so much lighter. If you are proficient at installing your comfortsport I would vote for that.
