Default The carseat fairy is coming to my house! Yippiee!

We have been shopping for a convertable seat, DH said I could buy 'any carseat I want' when our tax refund comes.

So if money were no object, what would you buy?

ETA: Whoops, I guess that would have helped...I think she is about 17 lbs, not sure on the height b/c she is due for her 6 mos. checkup next week. She tends do be on the short and chunky side :0).

This is so huge for me. I'm really excited because my Graco infant seat is the bottom of the barrel starter model, the kind you have to adjust the straps in the back. I am sooooooooooo beyond looking forward to having DD in a nice seat.

DH is convinced that every - and I mean EVERY baby toy, item, device out there is a scam and a rip off with far too many bells and whistles that are for the parent's benefit. It has been such a struggle to get ANYTHING for DD, a lot of what we have comes from consignment shops, but I'm not willing to compromise on the carseat. Hence the Graco. Now help me spend that money!!!

    Thanks,
    Molly

Well, that depends on size and age of your DC. I'd probably get either a Britax Boulevard or a Safeguard seat though. More then likely the Boulevard. Or wait for the new recaro to come out.

A Safegaurd seat is not appropriate for this baby. She's not big enough to go FF yet.

I would second the Britax BLVD or the MA would be a great seat for you too.

Wait til he see's how much easier it is to use this seat though!

Ah, yes, when I posted that originally I didn't know size or age yet. Definitly not the Safeguard then.

Britax Boulevard, Marathon, or Decathlon, or Sunshine Kids Radian 65. I personally would go with the Boulevard for the SIP wings.

We just got the Blvd and we LOVE it! It was really easy to install and is rock solid. Best part: DD loves it and the SIP wings make me feel even more comfortable.

    Britax Marathon, hands down.

My DH is of the same view and he is now a firm Britax convert. Even tells other dads how great they are.

    Happy shopping! :)

    Thanks, ladies! :)

I'm really proud of DH. Once he decided to go all out on this, he is starting to get excited about it. He's actually talking about how rock solid and easy the install is on a Britax.

    God love him!

    Yippie!!!!!
