Peg Atlantico owners...canopy question

What stroller fabric do you have and what is the peek-a-boo window like on your canopy? The Atlantico I saw in the store yesterday was the X-plorer fabric and it had a clear plastic window with a fabric flap covering it. The flap also had a pocket built into it big enough to hold a wallet, cell phone, and keys. But I know the Atlantico in the Synergy fabric has the large mesh window with no flap covering it and I saw a picture of the Chesapeake fabric one on Ebay and it looked like it had a small triangle mesh window on it (smaller than that on the synergy though). I really liked the clear window with flap and pocket so I'm trying to find out which fabrics have it so I can narrow down my choices. TIA.

I have an older model Atlantico (2002 I think) in Black Sable. The canopy has a V-shaped part that I can see through.

I just got a 2004 Atlantico in Metallica (red and black) and it also has the big pocket flap covering the clear plastic window. I love it!

Oh good-- maybe all the new 2004 Atlanticos have the pocket and flap and the older models have the mesh window. Anyone have a 2004 model in the black sable to confirm this?

Not sure this helps, but I was told by PP that there is no difference between the 2003 and 2004 Atlanticos. Maybe the clear window ones are older than 2003. I really don't know though. Did you email PP?

Ok, I got it all figured out. I just talked to Peg Perego's CS and another store in San Diego that sells the Atlantico. The only Atlantico models with the clear plastic peek-a-boo window and flap with pocket are the 2004 models. The 2003 models have the mesh window like that of the P3. The fabric colors of the 2004 Atlantico models are Black Sable, Metallica, and X-Plorer. And yes, the Atlantico is being discontinued. The salesman at USA baby actually told me that they will be discontinuing ALL the Peg models and will be completely redesigning everything in the near future.

Ugh! Don't tell me that.I've been wanting a P3 for months and plan to get one soon but then I'll regret it if I like the new ones better.LOL I hope Strollerqueen has some info on this from the Expo.
