Default Is there a gate that stands by itself?

There are a few areas in our house that we would like to gate off, but there are no walls to secure the gate to. Does anyone know of any gates that stand by itself? I'm envisioning a gate with feet on both sides, but I haven't been able to find any yet. Thanks!

Have you looked at the Kidco Configure Gate? They are pricey, but they are freestanding. Both ends do need to be attached to a wall, but it is very flexible in how you configure it.

We have the Configure Gate and think that it's great. And, at present, we don't have it attached to a wall. It is designed to attach to walls, but if you have a significant angle with the side panels (we have an extension on each side), it is sturdy without being attached.
