Default how to babyproof VERTICAL blind cords?

I just bought some Safety 1st 'cord wind ups' but have realised they are for horizontal blind cords. What do people use for vertical blinds? I'm renting an apt so it's difficult to change the blinds.

All you need is a little cup hook or even a thumb tack to get the cord up and out of the way when you aren't using it.

I know what you mean. DS was fascinated with ours too and because they are on a pulley system, you can't really get them out of the way. Ours were screwed into the wall at the bottom. So, what we did was move a piece of furniture in front of the bottom part of the cord so he couldn't get to it anymore. We can still reach the top part and use it that way and he hasn't even tried to get to it now that it's blocked off. HTH
