How I solved my gate dilemma at the top of the stairs

I managed to install a gate at the top of the stairs without drilling into my bannisters!

I purchased a kit from www.safebeginnings.com. Well, actually, I purchased two kits because I needed one for each side. It's this one: http://www.safebeginnings.com/WebCom...=Childproofing

DH put it up and it seemed relatively easy. Although if your DH or dad or brother or whoever is handy, he could probably rig this himself and you could save some money.

Thanks so much for this link! We have the same type staircase/bannisters as you and it was killing me thinking we'd have to drill holes in them. I knew there had to be a solution!

You are so great! You don't know how much relief you have brought to my life just now. DH has been very busy with work so babyproofing has been left up to me.
