    Default Use an on-line registry?

Has anyone used an on-line registry instead of one associated with a store?

My wife and I are expecting our first child in December. After reading the Baby Bargains book, I realized that no one store (or two . . . or three) is going to have all the items recommended.

So instead of registering at multiple stores, I've been considering using some kind of on-line registry.

Has anyone else done this? What are the pros and cons? I've been looking at FindGift.com - any experience with this?

    Thanks for your help!

I used Felicite http://www.felicite.com and thought it was great. A really nice feature (which I think is unique) is it allows to you register for a big-ticket item (such as a crib or glider/rocker), then people can contribute money to the gift, rather than having to buy it in total.

Felicite is an independent gift registry, so you can even add gifts to your registry from stores that aren't a part of their network.

    Good luck!

I had to use multiple registries. Please come back and share if you do find one that allows items from multiple stores
