I don't know why they are so pricey. Honestly the Graco Snugride gets rave reviews. If you really want a "set" then go for it, otherwise a Snugride is wonderful. It fits nicely in a PP P3 too. I am not sure how many kiddos you will be using your PP carseat with, but if it is only one, it isn't worth it IMHO. Both my kids were out of the infant seat by 5 months old because of their length.
My g/f complained that her PP carseat was too narrow...actually my neighbor has one for sale right now. It is the old white and blue check pattern. Her DH is a cop, so they are safety freaks, so it is good to go. If you are interested email me at [email protected]
She is still using her PP Milano though.

From what I've heard, Peg just uses nicer fabrics than Graco does.

One in 2004 and the other one in 2008
I think the biggest factor is because the Peg is imported from Italy whereas the Graco is imported from China via the US company Graco. Fabric on the Peg is of course better than the Graco one.

www.babiesrus.ca has the Snugride
in Blackwell on sale...$139 I think.
I just bought my Snugride a few weeks ago
and despite the floor model being a 20lb./
26 inch version, the one I received was
the Snugride 2 (22lbs./29 inches).
HTH! :)
