Default dropping ds off at the babysitter

it broke my heart today to have to take ds to the babysitter. his little eyes were all red. the tears started rolling and i had to be the strong mommy. it was so hard. and i have to do it again on thursday. we have been home all summer together. i know i am a lucky mommy but today was so hard. thank goodness dh takes care of him three days a week. thanks for listening to me. i just hope it gets easier.

oh ya i cried my eyes out as soon as i got in the car. this is normal right!!!

Aww, mama! I'm sorry. Treat yourself to a little ice cream this afternoon. And lots of extra squishes from DS later tonight. He's probably having a blast playing with all his friends. HUGS!!

Perfectly normal! I've sobbed in my car many times after leaving DD and/or DS, and you have pregnancy hormones, too! It helps to plan something fun for after work on the rough days so that you both have something to look forward to.

    Big hugs to you!

I feel for you, believe me! DD is going through major league separation anxiety right now and she will be starting at a new sitter in 2 weeks. I am sooo dreading it - I'm sure I'll be sobbing in my car, too!

Hugs. It does get better... eventually. Today was the day that DS said he loves his preschool. Finally, after crying every morning for months at a time (and than again after a vacation or being sick) and making me feel soooo guilty, even though I knew he was happily playing 5-10 minutes after I left. It's just hard to leave them with strangers after spending all this time nurturing them.
