Default i screwed up my daughter's first name on her birth announcement

oh and totally didn't notice it at all, even my mother didn't see it and mention it to me and they were mailed to everybody already. i spelled it kathyrn...instead of kathryn. my best friend saw it when they were mailed out and didn't have the heart to tell me cause i've been alone with both the kids and a sick dog since my husband had to move out of state for a month a few days after kathryn was born for work and she didn't want to upset/stress me out. so i am a tool and my second daughter will probably feel like the unimportant second daughter when she sees i spelled her first name wrong. oh and i just noticed i had it spelled wrong in my profile here too. ahhhhh, i think i need to re-check her social security card and birth cert, lord knows they may be screwed up too.

    (((Hug)))

I would probably go and have an extra made up with the correct spelling for your keepsakes. She'll never know! :)

I always get confused on how to spell Kathryn too. Maybe if it is wrong everywhere you can just go with an "alternative" spelling!

Ah, I'm so sorry. Print up some correct ones to save :)

I did the same thing for my son's first b-day party. Proofed it myself and my husband. Sent it out saying Saturday, Month, Date - well, yeah, it was the correct date, but the party was SUNDAY.

I ended up sending out a second round of invitations with a picture of him holding a sign saying "oops"

Awwww, well look at it this way. Look at how fortuitous that turned out for Oprah! :)

It will be a good story one day, I promise.

Oh, I'm sorry. That's so easy to do. I made a mistake on my older son's 3rd birthday invite. Had these cute invites, and then left the "r" of our 3rd.

Definitely see if you can get a few correct ones printed for you guys to keep.

I feel for you, my Kate's name is KathArine, she has a blanket from her grandma with the name spelled KathErine and a handmade pillow from her SIL with the same wrong spelling. At her baptism her name was wrong on the projector and on her baptism certificate. Ugh.....

I did it too with dd's birth announcement. It was a mistake. Try to cut yourself some slack.

    Hugs.

If it is any consolation, I bet most people didn't notice. I had to read the spellings twice to catch the mistake (and I knew there was an error to look for).

Count me among those that screw up things sent to lots of people. DS's birthday party invites read "11:30 - 1:30am" I'm sure 15 3 yr olds will be lots of fun at midnight this Saturday!

By the way, Kathryn is a really pretty name. . .
