Yesterday DS wasn't taking his nap. Every 10-15 minutes he would cry out and want to be picked up. Finally it got to be apparent he wasn't going to take a nap so DH went to pick him up. Apparently his diaper was laying beside DS's head. With his shirt fully buttoned at the crotch. And DS was soaked. As DH is pulling off his shirt I notice what looks like a little bit of poo on his legs. His shirt has no poo on it. His crib has no poo on it. Where is the poo?? Oh look, there's a big pile of poo on the floor about 9 inches from his crib. The only thing I can figure is he somehow took off his diaper, relized he had to go and pushed his butt up between the crib slats, lining up perfectly mind you, squeezed a very large one off, snapped himself back up, peed, than waited until we came and got him. And the worst of it is, I stood there debating if I should get the camera and take a picture so I could show future girlfriends. Can you say potty training is going to start in earnest?

DH and I both got a giggle out of that one! And DH thinks your DS probably peed on himself while pooping.

Sorry, but the visual image of how this must have happened is just HILARIOUS. As is my visual image of your discovery. I can actually see someone with the thought bubble, "Where is the poo???"

Interesting gymnastics going on at your house...maybe set up a camera for next time?

My guess is that the poo was in the diaper when it came off, and then your very smart little man dumped it out.

The image of a bum squeezed up against the crib slats is a great one, though...

The diaper was clean as a baby's bum - no wait that doesn't fit in this scenerio. But no, I doubt there was ever any poo in that diaper.

Good thought though.
