    Default 89 Degrees here!

AHHHHH....I went out to check the mail in flip flops, shorts and a tank top! When I went to Wal-Mart about 2 hours ago it was 89 degrees and HUMID! This is rediculous! Where is Fall? A huge cold front is supposed to come through today and drop temps into the 40's and 50's. Seriously...I shouldn't have to run my AC all morning and the heat at night. Just give me some mild temps so that I can enjoy Fall and not go straight from summer to winter!

Oh and Tyler has a double ear infection and pneumonia and DH (not dear BTW) ;) is still insisting that we travel 5.5 hours to his parents house for Thanksgiving! AHHHHHH!!! I thought surely we would get out of going to the IL's house but nope...we are going!

Ok...I feel better now. Off to pack!

No way in hell would I travel with a sick baby. You should tell DH that he can take the two well children and go by himself!!! Men are stupid, most of the time. Hugs go out to you, I hope you will be pleasantly surprised with Thanksgiving. If not, just fix yourself a margarita and relax!!!

I don't know what your relationship is with your mil but I would ask dh how his mother would feel if she knew he made a child with pneumonia travel for over 5 hours to see her and what she would say to him about it. Personally,my mil would never let dh live it down and she'd rip him a new one.
    Just my opinion though.

Well...MIL and I go together like oil and water. It is not a good relationship by any means. I was dreading going in because we were just in 2 weeks ago so when Tyler got really sick I was certain I would have a get out of Jail free card. No such luck. We called and told them about Tyler and Jaci also has a cold as well as DH and I. We are contagious yet they still want us to come in. It's rediculous. I did talk DH into staying home one more night so we are heading out at 6 am to make it there by noon. Did I mention that MIL also assigned us 3 things to cook and bring with us? Crazy lady!

The cold front did blow through and it is now in the 40's here. One extreme to the other! At least I'm not burning up now!

OMG Tara, I could have written your post!

It's ridiculously hot here, and I'm so not in the Thanksgiving spirit. I bought DS a really cute outfit with a turkey on it back before he was born, and now I don't think he'll wear it (long sleeves, long pants). Oh, and DS just got over a double ear infection and now has a lovely rash all over his face and body (reaction to the antibiotics). He feels fine, but guess how excited I am about all the pictures everyone's gonna be taking of my kid looking like he has the freakin' plague.

The biggest mistake I made is the one that most of us make...I did not live in the moment enough. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less. - Anna Quindlen
