    Default Veil shop alternatives

Being absolutely horrible with fabric crafts, and doing the bulk of the wedding catering and flower arranging myself, making my veil was not an option. Found some OK sites (some really good for headpieces--www.bridalpeople.com has nice ones, although some are very spendy). I'm not planning to keep my veil on all day--just for the ceremony. So, I checked out the eBay stores (http://www.stores.ebay.com/stores/category3259/). You can get great tiaras if you are look ing for that type of headpiece at the Princess Bride Tiaras store. I liked the veil selection at custom veils, a Minesota company who makes their veils and ships in 7-10 days (none of that 6 week nonsense). I bid on a single layer fingertip length veil in diamond white (off white) with a finished edge, and won the auction for $15.50.

I also just bought my veil and headpiece off of ebay. I used veilsnmore (http://www.stores.ebay.com/id=34497195) in the ebay stores and won an auction for a single layer elbow length veil with a pencil edge for only $9.99. The veil was shipped the first business day after I won the auction.

My veil just came in; perfect condition, exactly as described and it looks just like the $100 veils I've seen in the bridal shop. That was $10 well spent!

Another alterntive is to do what my friend did. She is not craft-inclined either. So, she asked me to make her veil. She loved it. I was happy to do it. Success!
