Default How about a chapter (or book!) on home renovation pitfalls, & how to avoid them when looking for a used house?

i.e. how to avoid the proverbial "money pit", how to determine whether or not you can (or want to) renovate the house you are considering, along with advice on how to not get scammed by contractors (i.e. work with people who charge by the job, NOT by the hour). How to make some very basic changes to change the look of the house and save $$ while you are at it (i.e. look for deals on brand new light fixtures on Ebay & other closeout lighting supply stores lampsplus.com for example).

Just an idea to go along with the other suggestion you had for writing about used homes. :-)
