"Welcome" section in the boards?

Maybe I am missing something but I think it would be a good idea to have a section of the board dedicated to welcoming new members, and where they can introduce themselves to the current members.

I know many new members sign up weekly and when I did I kind of missed a place here where I could introduce myself to everybody else.

It's such a good idea it is already in place! Look under Bios/Due Dates/New Arrivals

I didn't know this existed as a new poster either so I never wrote a bio. By the time I realized it was there I had been posting for quit a while so didn't think it was necessary. I wish there were some "general guidlines" for using the boards. It really took me along time to figure out how to navigate, use the ratings, etc..I still can't search for a thread :(
