Ever since Jack had a cold two weeks ago our nights have been quite a struggle. I'm at my wits end! Since he was about 6 weeks old his schedule was similar to:
7:00 to bed
2:00ish nurse, back to sleep
5:00ish nurse, back to sleep
7:00 awake

We've had quite a few nights of 8+ hrs straight.

Then he got sick and he's waking up all the time! Last night was:
7:00 to bed
8:00 woke up but eventually settled back down and went back to sleep
9:30 nurse, back to sleep
2:00 nurse, back to sleep
5:00 nurse, back to sleep
7:30 awake

*When he wakes I try to calm him first before nursing to see if he'll go back to sleep.

I know that for many of you this wouldn't be so bad but it's just not like Jack (or maybe this really is Jack and the first 3 months were unusual). I thought maybe he was going through a growth spurt but 2+ weeks seems a little long for that. I've tried feeding him more frequently during the day and really worked on his naps but that doesn't seem to help. He is showing most of the signs of being ready for solids but I'd like to wait at least another month if possible. Do I need to "sleep train" him? We go to the dr on Monday for his 4 month well baby but I thought I'd pick your brains first.

I'd appreciate any ideas you may have!!
