Default Lands End Sherpa Marinac boots -- waterproof?

I'm looking at the Lands End Marinac boots but was wondering if anyone had any IRL experience with them. I want something waterproof so I can go out in the snow with my two boys. Do you think these will work or will they get ruined after one 'romp' in the snow? Any other boot suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I have last year's version. They are very warm and were fine in light snow. I didn't wear them to go out and play with the kids because I have other boots that I know are waterproof, though. I like that they are very warm and look enough like a casual boot that you can wear them when it's not snowing.

I have last year's version too and haven't worn them in the snow really yet, but they're warm and great for doing errands. :D

I've worn mine in the snow with the kids and they've been great. The only problem I could see is if you were in extremely deep snow, since the top is not tightly closed.
