EBAY Seller Shipping Question
I'm trying my hand at selling several items on ebay for the first time. I listed the shipping for my item at $6.00. On the ad it shows up $6.00 Flat Rate.
Now, I guessed at the $6.00 based on the size of the item. If it costs more to ship the item, I don't mind eating that cost. If it's less, will the buyer be upset? Do I need to refund the extra money to the buyer?
I guess what I'm asking... does that "Flat Rate" in my ad mean that I've already purchased a flat rate package (which I haven't) or does it mean that's MY flat rate for shipping whether it be more or less?
My first few items I'll just have to learn from. Thanks for your help!

RE: EBAY Seller Shipping Question
If I ended up shipping it for $4.50 and you see that when you get the package, are you upset?
Thanks!

RE: EBAY Seller Shipping Question
Nope--because you are also paying for packing materials, gas to the PO, etc.
I did get annoyed once when I paid $4.50 to ship a cotton button cardigan (6mo size) and it arrived crammed into a letter-size envelope that was ready to burst. The shipping was 0.81.
That was annoying, but very different from what you're doing!

RE: EBAY Seller Shipping Question
ditto the pp, but if you're concerned, you can buy your postage through Paypal, and it won't show the $ amount- plus you get free delivery confirmation.
