    Default children's box springs?

Someone told me that boxsprings exist for kids that are only a couple of inches high so that kids aren't too high off the ground. Has anyone heard of this and if so, where can you find them?

What they may be talking about isn't a true box spring; it's called a bunkie board. I bought one for about $30 when I bought a captain's bed.
It fits over the slats and under the mattress like a box spring.

We have one -- they are made for bunkbeds (among other things). Ours is called a "bunk board". It came from Cargo (check their web site at www.cargokids.com for a store near you.

I think we paid around $50 for it.
