I am considering getting a toddler bed instead of a twin bed for Julia. For $ reasons and saftey. I just don't think she is ready for a twin bed yet. How long do they realistically stay in a toddler bed? Julia is already 26 months old.

Well, DD is 36 months and is in no danger of outgrowing her toddler bed anytime soon. I'd say we have at least another year in it.

My oldest son was in a toddler bed until he was almost 3 1/2.
