Default Which bunkbed set should I order?

I've narrowed it down to the following beds - each of which convert into 2 separate and identical twin beds:

    1) Young America - Contentment

I like the ones that are fairly open on the bottom. As opposed to solid wood ends. This think it makes the bottom bed like a cave. We were thinking about bunkbeds but decided to wait till our next house to make a purchase. When we checked them out I did not like the more enclosed feeling of ones like #3 and #4. Though a child may like that cave like atmosphere.

Although it may seem cave-like to adults, many children feel more comfortable in smaller spaces....the reason they like tents over beds, canopies, play nooks...it gives a cocoon-like feel and makes them feel safer. So, I'd consider the board & batten (or isabella). But it really depends on your style. Board & Batten is more a country or sea cottage look. If you want a more dressy look, one of the other styles would do better.

Default *UPDATE* RE: Which bunkbed set should I order?

The day I was going to go and order the bunk beds, I saw the Catalina bed in PBK catalog. I noticed that this style also came in a bunk but I really wanted storage drawers and not a trundle - here's a picture of PBK Catalina bunk:

I went to the original retailer that I was dealing with and showed them a picture of the PBK Catalina and asked them to find me something similar and they did:

I went with this bed, all in white and it will have 2 separate storage drawers. Of course, this line, Vermont Precision, turned out to be even more expensive than the previous lines we were looking at but the furniture is excellent quality and should last the girls for some time. We were able to get a 15% discount, which helped my FIL's pocketbook :)
