Some advice:

While you still can this summer, buy your toddler a pair of sandals. I got some great ones at Land's End for $20 that fit well. DD loves to help water the yard and otherwise ends up with wet feet a lot, and when her shoes get soaked, it takes a day or two for them to dry. The sandals have lasted over a larger range of shoe sizes, and served as back-up shoes for any occasion where the regular shoes became unwearable.

Now that summer's begun, ;) , retailers will start putting sandals on their end-of-season closeouts, so there may be bargains.

I agree with you there..some deals are to be had, i got my son a pair of minibel sandles for $20CAD as opposed to the regular $50CAD so even less than 50% off! ;)
