Default So, I didn't wait for the BBB hanna code...anyone else?

I "weeded" Ds' drawers and closet last week of non-potty-using friendly clothing and things that will not fit for fall. I did keep some zipper/button pants, but I don't know that they will get used. I suppose it depends if his names comes up for preschool or not. If not, since I am with him anyway I can help, though I want to encourage some independence with it, and I don't think zippers and buttons will do that. So, there are my excuses! I started out with a cart of over $700!! Of course, I did not buy anywhere near that, but it was fun. As usual I ended up stripping all of the Mommy stuff (but sent a wish list to Dh for the holidays :)) As Ds gets older, I find the more 'boy' looking things are better fitting to him. sniff sniff...no more baby. I am glad I can get Hannas without sponge bob or monster trucks on them!

I'm experimenting with buying 100 tops and 90 pants. So far his size 100 pants/shorts I bought a few months ago are way too huge without a diaper and much too long. So like Hanna says, go by height!

Do you think I should have bought the matching India Red Survivor jacket? It said low quantity, but I could not imagine them running out of something so basic before the season sale!?

(I missed out on the snowmen due to indecision - I can't pay hanna shipping for just ONE item, right? ;) So, hopefully I got that last pair of umbrella PJs. We have a new-PJs-for-Christmas-Eve tradition).

    I just love this sweater!

I wanted to get another pair of pull-on pants but could not decide. I think I might sneak the comfort cords on to my order today:
If I get warm kahki over regular kahki, they are cheaper. It's hard to tell how they will look differently, if the warm will not go as well with other things.

    Melanie,

I ordered the striped top in the blues along with straight cut sweats in French Blue. The fabric in the top is not warm at all so I may send it back since I wanted it for winter. I may get the cord overalls in French Blue and if so, I'll keep the top to wear with them. I couldn't stomach the price of the survivor jacket so I skipped it. I mean, they're just sweats! I'm sure they're nice but I just couldn't justify spending the money!

I love the look of the pull-on cords and am still debating whether or not I should get a pair for Tom. Did you see that the women's are on special this month for $30? I might just order a pair for myself!

    Have fun,

ETA: LOL, I just looked at my Hanna cart and I'm at $694! Time to weed out those items I just don't need...

The toddler pull on cords seemed to be a good deal but only had navy left and aside from the zip pocket pants, above, his 2 pairs of too-big-100's are also navy.

Do you have the code for the straight sweats? I can't find it...I would honestly prefer those. The price is what kept me from getting the survivor jacket, but I still might. I am torn! I almost went with the ivy/navy shirt just so the sweats would match so many other things, as opposted to india red. Though of course my favorite is the french blue. I almost ordered it for me. =)

The code is 27876. I think I'm sending these back - they are huge on Tom. The pant legs are really wide.

    HTH.

Thanks, I already have a pair for Ds which are huge (in 100's). I don't think they are cuffable (is that a word?). I thought maybe a 90 would be better...maybe I will just wait and see what the cuffed ones look like.

IKWYM about the boxy tee being thinner, b/c Ds has last year's style. However that works for our weather.

I just received a long-sleeved bold striped romper for DS this morning:

    http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/12420.jpg

It was waiting for me when I got home from work! I can't believe how much nicer it looks IRL! I know I spent way too much on it (even with the code it was almost $30 which is pretty much reaching my all time limit for a single piece) but Andrew's romper-wearing time is fast drawing to a close so I couldn't wait for the January sale. I'm thinking that by the end of January I will be enough into potty-training mode that he won't wear any one-pieces anymore. :(

However, this romper is so nice I think I'm going to make it his Christmas outfit. It's not super fancy but it's nice and certainly at about the level of dressiness DH wears, so I think it will work out well. Now I don't feel so badly: I got him a regular outfit AND a Christmas outfit all in one!

(how's that for justification for spending too much? :D )

He is so cute! I am envious of your Fall leaf colors.

Yes, while the potty using is wonderful in so many respects, it does put a sad end to the 'baby' clothing.

The size 90 straight leg sweats looked bad on Colin, too. I think that the pant leg is just out of proportion (too wide) for the rest of the pant. Returned those last week.

I was actually thinking of getting myself a pair of their sweats in the French blue so I stuck my leg in Tom's sweats to see how they would look and MY LEG FIT in the 90s (if that gives you an idea of how wide the pant legs are on the straight leg sweats!!)

LOL, that's my justification for ordering the romper, too!! Did you get the blue? I'm ordering the green one.
